North Korea 'fires missiles' into sea hours after UN vote

North Korea fired six objects into the seas hours after the U.N. Security Council unanimously voted to impose sanctions against it. The BBC reports that the objects were either guided missiles or rockets, and that the act was most likely a sign of defiance. There is also concern that the regularly scheduled joint exercises between the U.S. and South Korea, which are scheduled for next week and usually cause an increase in tensions on the peninsula, will cause an overly intense reaction from the North.
