NATO will deploy naval forces in an effort to deter human trafficking operations that are smuggling people from Turkey into Greece. The BBC reports that the NATO ships will not be stopping refugee boats, but will focus on providing surveillance and intelligence about human traffickers. The NATO Standing Maritime Group 2 will be leading the operation.
