Carter says UAE will put special forces in Syria

U.S. Defense Secretary Ash Carter has announced that the UAE will provide special forces soldiers to help train military units in Syria meant to counter the Islamic State. The Washington Post reports that the Emirati soldiers would be working with other special forces units from the U.S. and Saudi Arabia as part of a joint military development effort. The exact number of soldiers that the UAE will provide has not been announced.
