Following additional missile tests, Iran’s Revolutionary Guards have announced that the ballistic missile program in Iran will not stop. Reuters reports that Iran maintains that the missiles are part of a defensive, non-nuclear deterrent capacity and asserted its right to defend itself from hostile regimes. Additionally, a spokesman expressed that the intent behind the missile program is to prevent Iran from falling into chaos – as happened in Syria, Iraq, and Yemen. The United States is still considering how it will respond to the missile tests.
