Militants attacked the Tunisian town of Ben Gardane, near the Libyan border – resulting in 54 deaths. The New York Times reports that the militants are believed to have been associated with the Islamic State, and that this may be a sign that ISIS is starting to expand out from its beachhead in Libya. Tunisia is tightening security along its border with Libya in order to prevent or limit future militant attacks.
