A pickup truck that was transporting a device that contained radioactive material has been stolen in Mexico. CNN reports that it is unclear whether or not the radioactive material was the target of the theft. The device is used in industrial radiography and contained Iridium-192, which can be deadly. This is second time that radioactive material used for industrial radiography has gone missing in recent months, with a previous incident occurring in Iraq – although in that case the material was eventually found.
