Female suicide bombers kill 58 in a Nigerian camp meant to be a safe haven

A camp for people displaced by Boko Haram in Nigeria was attacked by two female suicide bombers. According to CNN, the attack resulted in at least 58 deaths and 78 injuries. The attackers entered the camp by pretending to be people fleeing the terrorist group, and one of the three attackers did not detonate her bomb. The surviving attacker has indicated that more bombings have been planned, and that the bombers would be predominately female. The attacks came after military forces raided three Boko Haram-controlled areas and freed more than 1,000 people. It is believed that the attackers targeted that camp because over 100 women who were freed from sexual slavery during the raids had been sent there afterwards.
