Clashes spread to new areas of southeast Turkey after bombing

An increasing portion of southeast Turkey is becoming involved in the conflict between Turkey’s security forces and the Kurdish Worker’s Party (PKK). Reuters reports that much of the violence is occurring in the city of Diyarbakir, and that at least four people have died so far. The current clash was prompted by a suicide bombing in Ankara, and has also resulted in air strikes against Kurdish targets in Iraq. According to the Turkish military, those air strikes have destroyed two weapons depots and two rocket emplacements.
