Cipher Brief CEO & Publisher Suzanne Kelly sat down with General Stanley McChrystal (Ret.) just as his new book, Leaders: Myth and Reality is released.
McChrystal talks about leadership in the current political environment, “We need to understand first that just because someone is being successful and effective, doesn’t mean they are aligned with the values that are important to us, so we need to look in the mirror and decide what values are important to us and we need to take action.”
"I think that we, as Americans, need to decide where we want America to go and what we want America to mean. We have to take responsibility every day for forcing that, either through elections or through pushing values or through any of the other things that we do.”
