Mexico sees spike in H1N1 swine flu cases, 68 people dead

Mexico is experiencing a surge in cases of swine flu. According to Reuters, 945 cases of swine flue have been reported in Mexico, of which 68 have proven fatal. The Mexican government has announced that this does not constitute an epidemic, although it is a large increase over the 4 cases of swine flue that were reported during the previous flu season. Additionally, many pharmacies are reporting shortages of medicine used to treat the flu. However, the government is working to rectify the shortages and the flu season in Mexico will end in about one month.
