A blunt defense of interrogations, targeted killings and domestic spying

Former NSA and CIA Director Gen. Michael Hayden has released a book called Playing to the Edge: American Intelligence in the Age of Terror, which details his time working in the intelligence community. The Washington Post reviewed the book, and it found it to be both blunt and incisive, with a great deal of information about key issues and topics that the intelligence community has had to grapple with in order to fight terrorism. Specifically, it touches on issues with Congress, the effect of the media, interrogations, cyber-weapons, and drone strikes, among others.
