Colombia: ELN rebels 'taking over Farc areas' ahead of peace deal

The National Liberation Army (ELN) in Colombia appears to be moving into areas that were previously under the control of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC). The BBC reports that the ELN, the second largest rebel group in Colombia, is taking advantage of the FARC’s ceasefire agreement and impending peace deal to expand its reach and recruit some of the FARC’s fighters. The FARC is expected to sign a peace deal with the Colombian government on March 23.
