Yemen Rebels, Saudi Arabia Begin Peace Talks to End Nearly Year-Long War

Saudi Arabia and the Houthi rebels in Yemen have begun talks with the goal of ending the conflict between them. The Wall Street Journal reports that so far agreements to allow for aid to enter Yemen had been made, and that a prisoner swap occurred as well. Currently, the two parties are focused on securing a ceasefire agreement, although they hope to be able to end the war completely. It is unclear to what extent this will affect the larger strategic contest between Saudi Arabia and Iran, which is believed to be sponsoring the Houthis.
