Gavin Schmidt is Director of NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS), Principal for the GISS ModelE Earth System Model, and climate scientist at Columbia University's Earth Institute. Schmidt is the author of numerous publications, including the book Climate Change: Picturing the Science, with co-author Josh Wolfe. He is also a contributing editor to RealClimate.org.
