Riordan Roett is the Director of the Latin American Studies Program at Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies in Washington, D. C. For his analyses of Latin American political economy issues, he has been decorated by the governments of Chile and Brazil. He is a former president of the Latin American Studies Association and a former Senior Fellow at the World Economic Forum annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland.
