Former Deputy Director of the Weapons Intelligence, Nonproliferation, and Arms Control Center, CIA
Chris Savos is Director of Proficiency1, an online training company for national security and risk intelligence professionals. Savos served 22 years at the Central Intelligence Agency, where he earned the Distinguished Career Intelligence Medal. He ran analytical units following the Middle East and South and East Asia. Savos was also Deputy Director of the Weapons Intelligence, Nonproliferation, and Arms Control Center; served on the National Intelligence Council; and spent several years in the Directorate of Operations.
Savos held a variety of nonanalytic positions at the CIA. He was the first Lead Talent Office for the Directorate of Analysis (DA) and led an effort to improve DA talent management programs and practices. He also ran the DA’S leadership and management training program and served on the Agency’s Executive Diversity and Inclusion Council.
