
Dikembe Mutombo

Dikembe Mutombo is the Chairman and President of the Dikembe Mutombo Foundation. Born in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, he came to the U.S. in 1987, where he played basketball at Georgetown University. Mutombo is fluent in nine languages, including five African languages. He played in the NBA for 18 years before retiring in 2009. Mutombo presently serves on the boards of the National Constitution Center, Special Olympics International, the CDC Foundation and the U.S. Fund for UNICEF.
