Brad Pilsl is an Unmanned Systems Strategic Lead with Booz Allen Hamilton.  In this role, he leads teams developing leading-edge unmanned systems technology, and is also responsible for identifying and establishing long-term partnerships with key external companies. Pilsl is a combat veteran of both Iraq and Afghanistan and continues to serve as a Naval Reserve officer.  In his 21 year career, he served as a Naval Flight Officer and airborne Mission Commander in maritime patrol and reconnaissance aircraft and also in various staff positions.

Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USVs) have the potential to be just as revolutionary as the Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) that preceded them. The Cipher Brief spoke to Brad Pilsl, an Unmanned Systems Strategic Lead with Booz Allen Hamilton, about the development and possible uses for USVs. According to Pilsl, the market for USVs will be one of the fastest growing parts of the market for unmanned systems – and their usefulness will only increase as their autonomy improves.
